Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Board held a meeting today to discuss numerous agenda items.
A couple county employees were honored for their years of service, including Michelle Kollman
for 25 years of service with the County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, and David Kinkelaar
on his retirement from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department after 26 years of service. We thank them both for their contributions to our community.
The board then went through the consent agenda items rather quickly, taking care of numerous items in one action. Then the board discussed the purchase of 4 police vehicles with ARPA funds, which was approved. The board also approved Sycamore Engineering’s proposal for the cooling tower for the County Building due to Sheriff Kuhns’ recommendation and the history the County has with the company. Sycamore Engineering was the second lowest bidder for the cooling tower.
The next scheduled County Board meeting is in June.
