With a big match up looming on Saturday Altamont picked up another NTC win as they grinded out a 60-53 victory over SEB.
It was a three point shootout early on as both teams combined for 9 three pointers in the first quarter. SEB had a couple of threes from Jarrett Pasley and Brady Maxey. In fact all of Altamont’s points came off three pointers. Indians got some threes from Mason Robinson and a pair from Noah Klimpel and Will Schultz second three saw Altamont re gain the lead by a point after one.
Altamont would extend their lead just slightly at the half thanks in part to going 7 for 8 from the free throw line. SEB got a couple more threes from Adam Atwood and Cade Schaub to stay within three at halftime 27-24.
SEB Caleb Campbell came alive in the second half scoring 13 as the Eagles would never go away. Robinson would not be outdone has he scored 17 in the second half.
Altamont would come away with the 60-53 win.
Altamont improves to 22-5 on the season and 5-1 in the NTC. Indians will be back in action to take on the 4th ranked team in class 1A the Macon Meridian Hawks at the NTC/CIC shootout at Central A & M High School.
SEB falls to 12-15 and 1-6 in the NTC and will also be at that shootout taking on Sullivan.
