ISP Fatal Traffic Crash

Shelby County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 10:

WHAT:

• Single Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash

WHERE:

• 1000E at 1800N, Shelby County

WHEN:                      

• Nov. 28, 2021 at approximately 2:06 p.m.

VEHICLE:

• Unit 1- 2016 White Chevrolet Cobalt

DRIVER:

• Unit 1- Robert Scribner, 30-year-old male from Charleston, IL – Deceased                 

PRELIMINARY:      

• Preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling south on 1000E near 1800N in Shelby County. The driver of Unit 1 lost control and struck a concrete bridge support, coming to rest in a ravine on the right side of the road. Unit 1 driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
