MATTOON, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Three people were recently arrested by the Mattoon Police Department following a disturbance that occurred at the Motel 6.
According to a press release from the Mattoon Police Department, police were dispatched to the parking lot of the Motel 6 on Wednesday, shortly before 2:00pm, for a report of domestic violence in which a man was allegedly battering a female.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with 25 year old, Taylor D Collins, of Mattoon, who was then found to be in possession of almost 1/4 of a pound of Methamphetamine that was packaged for delivery and two handguns.
Collins, a convicted felon, was also wanted on a Coles County warrant for Burglary, for allegedly stealing and selling numerous power tools over the past two months in the Mattoon area.
Officers then made contact with 24 year old, Colton T Bloxom, of Mattoon, who was found to also be in possession of Methamphetamine and was allegedly involved in the sale of Meth with Collins.
Police then obtained a search warrant for two rooms in the hotel, rented by 21 year old, Alexa K Webb, of Mattoon shortly before 4:30pm.
Located within the rooms was an additional ounce of Methamphetamine and numerous bullets for the handguns in Collins possession.
Police seized stolen power tools and $4,500 cash during the investigation.
Collins was arrested at 1:53 p.m. for possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, and a Coles County warrant of arrest for Burglary.
Bloxom was arrested at 1:59 p.m. for possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Webb was arrested at 4:24pm for possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, at 4:24 p.m.
