EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Arts Connection of Central Illinois, managing operator of the Effingham Performance Center, announces the “ROCK & Salvation Series” – to be hosted year-round inside the Effingham Performance Center.
ROCK & Salvation Series aims to continue providing the Central Illinois area with family-friendly entertainment and worship experiences from high quality performers in the Contemporary Christian music genre.
The Series is set to continue the momentum of the ROCK & Salvation Festival, held in June 2017 at Mid-America Motorworks, which saw fantastic performances by Matthew West, Natalie Grant, Kutless, and more.
The ROCK & Salvation Series kicked off with performances by Casting Crowns and special guest I Am They on March 17, 2018.
Next in the Series — “I Am a Christian Tour” featuring NewSong, with guests Unspoken and Citizen Way – Sat., June 16th at 7:00pm.
The show is sponsored by Dr. Ruben Boyajian & Family.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, 19 albums, 20 #1 Christian radio singles, a GRAMMY® Award-nomination and induction into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, among numerous other achievements, NewSong is among the most respected artists and mentors in Christian music today.
The strong bond that seems to turn Unspoken listeners into fans as it turns out, isn’t about the music alone.
Instead, it is about their willingness to take the stage together night after night and to put their hearts and lives on display with a raw and engaging honesty; an honesty expressed in conversation and song.
Citizen Way broke through the music scene in 2013 with their powerful debut album Love Is the Evidence.
The band continues to make an impact both on and off the air as they have toured the country alongside acts like MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Big Daddy Weave, Mandisa and more.
Their latest single “WaveWalker” (featuring Bart Millard) is available now.
