(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois State Board of Education is looking for partners to share 12 million-dollars in afterschool money. The state announced the money yesterday, schools or program managers have until February 15th to apply for their share. ISBE says the only requirement is that the programs be academically focused, though the state’s lowest performing and rural schools will be given a preference.
