(Springfield, IL) — A bill that would allow 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds to register as organ donors is advancing in Springfield. A state Senate Public Health Committee approved the measure yesterday. It now moves to the full Senate for a vote. The bill would give parents and legal guardians the authority to overturn their child’s decision until the age of 18.
