$4000 will go to four different Effingham County Organizations from the 2016 Anderson Visual Arts Fund. The Fund was established by local artists Bill and Jacqueline Anderson to support arts in the area.
The Ballard Nature Center, located in Altamont, will receive $450 to create a new outdoor art station for the annual Outdoor Day. The Effingham Artisan Fair will receive a grant of $2000 to support their yearly festival. The Effingham Child Development will be granted $1000 to implement new visual art activities to its curriculum. Finally, the Effingham Arts Guild will receive $500 to support their annual Children’s Art Show.
The Anderson Art Fund is managed by the Effingham County Community Foundation.
