(Chicago, IL) — The state is going to roll the dice with a new lottery company. Governor Rauner announced today that the state is dumping the current operator and is seeking bids for a new company. Rauner says he wants new technology to attract more players with the goal of boosting the revenue for schools and other key government services. Lottery officials say the games provide six-point-five-percent of the state’s school funds, about six-hundred-70-million-dollars a year.
