Local Artist Theresa Pollum, in the Art Gallery
The Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library is pleased to host the work of local artist, Theresa Pollum, in the Art Gallery.
Theresa Pollum was born and raised in Effingham with an interest in art that goes back to high school art classes. She attended watercolor classes at Tarble in Charleston and later joined the Effingham Art Guild, which saw a change in her approach to art. It was after she joined the Effingham Art Guild that Pollum began to explore different painting mediums.
Theresa finds inspiration in nature as well as in the artist community and lovers of art. She calls Flourishes Gallery instrumental in her journey as an artist and also singles out Keeper of the Arts. Speaking of these groups, Pollum states, “The encouragement and community of these groups have been priceless resources.”
Theresa’s art will be featured until March 29, 2024. The exhibit is free and a library card is not required to view the exhibit.
