ST. LOUIS, MO -(Effingham Radio)- A Missouri-based manufacturer of hand-crafted gun concealment and rustic furniture, Rough Country Rustic Furniture, continues to rack up and ignore consumer complaints while taking new orders. ‘
Consumers nationwide say they are fed up with the company’s failure to deliver goods or issue refunds in a timely fashion.
Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises consumers to exercise extreme caution in doing business with the company.
The company has received more than 600 consumer complaints since December 2017, when BBB issued a consumer warning about the company and its owner, Joseph Victor Ross.
Ross told reporters in December that the company grew faster than anticipated, resulting in backlogged orders. One TV station reported Ross was “fighting to rectify some 329 customer complaints to the Better Business Bureau.” Since December, however, none of the complaints received by BBB have been answered.
The company continues to take new orders, despite having nearly 800 complaints that have not been resolved.
In the last three years, consumers filed about 1,250 complaints and negative reviews, the second-highest number of complaints received by a company in the BBB St. Louis service area. The company maintains an “F” rating, the lowest on BBB’s scale.
