EFFINGHAM, IL-(EFFINGHAM RADIO)- Donna Moody will be the keynote speaker at the 44th Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon sponsored by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce.
The event will be held on Friday, May 4th at the Thelma Keller Convention Center from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Moody is the manager, trainer and organizational developer for AAIM Employer’s Association and Adjunct Professor, St. Louis University.
She is an expert on communication, leadership and diversity.
Moody will present “Humor in the Workplace” which includes how to use humor as a connection; understanding why we laugh; shifting perspectives through humor; releasing tension with humor and expanding our humor skill set.
The Employee Appreciation Luncheon provides an opportunity for employers to express their appreciation to their support staff for helping make their businesses run smoothly and efficiently.
Door prizes will be awarded and special recognition will be given to the 2018 Employee of the Year.
Nominations are being accepted for 2018 Employee of the Year.
The award is given annually to an outstanding full-time employee who demonstrates a high level of professionalism and commitment to the business.
Letters of nomination from employers will be accepted through Monday, April 16th at 5:00 p.m.

The cost of the Employee Appreciation Luncheon is $18 per person and can be paid in advance or at the luncheon.
Tables for groups of six or more can be reserved.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Chamber office at 217/342-4147.
The luncheon is open to the public.
