Effingham, Ill – HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital has cut 11 jobs.
According to the Effingham Daily News, “The administration at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital said it has reduced its workforce by eliminating 11 positions and making job changes to another 11 employees.”
“The decision to reduce staff came after many weeks of thoughtful deliberation, the hospital’s CEO said Friday.”
According to EDN, 22 employees jobs were affected. Eleven were cut and offered severance pay, eight saw reduced hours, and 3 were given alternate positions within the hospital.
The Effingham Daily News added, “President and CEO Theresa Rutherford said hospitals like St. Anthony’s and other health care systems are continually addressing the many changes in the health industry and must adapt accordingly to be able to deliver high-quality care.”
