(Springfield, IL) — The people who handle food safety in Illinois will still have to pass a test and get a license, but a new state law makes the process a bit easier. The law, signed yesterday by Governor Rauner, combines the test and licensing procedures and ends a 35 dollar fee. Peoria state Senator Dave Koehler said the new law will help small business owners cut through some of the state’s red tape.
