The Clay County Hospital received the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades for the second time. Clay County Hospital is one of the 22 hospitals in Illinois and the 460 hospitals across the nation to receive this award.
Hospitals that receive this award are ranked within the top 10% of all hospitals that are evaluated for their extraordinary efforts in protecting patients from serious complications while in the hospital. Healthgrades evaluated hospitals on the occurrence of observed complications, as well as the expected performance for the 14 patient safety indicators provided by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
