State Representative, John Cavaletto, is stressing the importance of having a budget passed for the beginning of the year.
While State Lawmakers are not scheduled to meet again until January 9th and 10th, there is no budget that has been agreed upon for next year. Representative Cavaletto is stressing that one of the first items covered every year by State government should be the passing of a budget. Comparing the passing of a state budget to that of a household budget, Cavaletto emphasizes that passing bills and continuing State spending with no budget creates the problem of needing to produce money at the end of the year to cover said spending.
Cavaletto has introduced a Bill to the State that will not allow the passing of Bills until the State has passed a budget.
