(Springfield, IL) — Former Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock is accused of using House and campaign funds to support a lavish lifestyle. The Peoria native was indicted yesterday by a grand jury on two-dozen counts including theft of government funds, fraud, making false statements and filing false tax returns. Prosecutors claim he used government and campaign money to purchase Chicago Bears tickets, trips on private planes and more. Schock resigned from Congress in March of last year after the investigation into his spending habits came to light.
