The Effingham Area Home Builders Association’s next Bless Your Neighbor project will be this weekend on Saturday May 7.
For the project the group is seeking volunteers to assist with a project at Dieterich resident Garland Bloemker’s residence.
Garland is a Vietnam Veteran who is in need of new deck frame on his front porch. He
tore most of it off already, but is in need of help for the repair process. The Home Builders Association plans for volunteers to step in and take care of that for him. The deck size will be 12′ x 6′ Treated Wood Deck with (2) new Porch Posts. He also has asked that it be screened in, since it was before.
If you can help let the Effingham Area Home Builders Association know at (217) 240-0689.
Work will begin Saturday at 8:00am. Garland’s address is 20520 E. 200th Avenue in Dieterch.
His House is 1 1/2 miles East of the Eberle 4-way stop, on the north side of Road. He has an American Flag and POW-MIA Flag flying in his front yard.
