Community Blood Services of Illinois blood drive
HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a Community Blood Services of Illinois (CBSI) blood drive in the hospital auditorium on Thursday, December 15th from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Community Blood Services of Illinois supplies 100% of all blood for patients at St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. To those who generously donate, thank you and please continue to give; and if you’ve never donated, please consider becoming a live-saving donor.
Each donation of whole blood can be used to produce as many as four different products that can be transfused to patients. The major reasons patients need blood are for cancer, heart and blood vessel disease, disease of the gastrointestinal tract and emergencies such as car accidents and burns. Although an estimated 38% of the US population is eligible to donate blood at any given time, less than 10% of the eligible population actually does each year.
Please bring a photo ID to donate. Donors may schedule an appointment online on Community Blood Services website at www.bloodcenterimpact.org. Use Group Sponsor Code 70739 when scheduling online. Donors earn points every time you donate with IMPACT, their donor loyalty program. You also earn bonus points when you make your appointment online. Points may be redeemed at their online store.
