On Thursday, May 1st the County will be hosting Law Day for 2025. Please see attached event agenda. This is a great event allowing the students of the county an opportunity to learn more about local government.

Tour of Tunnel to County Building
9:30 – 10:00 AM Tour of County Jail
10:00 – 11:45 AM Fire Arms & Range Safety Class
Range Practical Performed by Students –
Accuracy Firearms & Indoor Shooting Range
12:00 PM (noon) Lunch & Program at Effingham Elks Lodge 1016 – S. Banker St.
1:15 – 2:15 PM Job Shadow with Assigned Office Holder
2:15 – 2:30 PM Introduction of Board Members & Information Sharing by Students
2:30 PM Students Dismissal for Return to School
