Second Installment Payment Of Property Tax Due Today

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A reminder from Effingham County Treasurer Deb Ruholl to the property owners in Effingham County that the 2nd installment payment of property tax is due Friday, November 6th. Payment options for the taxes is as follows:  

1. In person at the Treasurer’s office located on the 2nd floor of the County Office Building;  
2. In the Effingham County official drop box located in the parking lot north of the County Building.  
3. At most banks in the County;  
4. On-line (a convenience fee will apply); or  
5. By mail to the Treasurer’s office.  

If payments are not in our office by 4 PM on Friday or postmarked on or before Friday, November 6th, the second installment will incur a late penalty per Illinois State Statute (35 ILCS 200/21-15).
