Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- More than 25-thousand bottles of a blood pressure medication have been recalled because the tablets may not dissolve properly.
The FDA says Inventia Healthcare Limited recalled 25-milligram chlorthalidone tablets after they failed dissolution tests, which could affect how the medication is absorbed. The two recalls involve more than eleven thousand bottles recalled in June and another 13-thousand-five-hundred bottles recalled in September. The FDA classified both recalls as Class Two, meaning the products could cause temporary or medically reversible health problems.
Patients taking the recalled medication should contact their doctor or pharmacist before making any changes.
