- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41 year old Jerrod M. Estes of Teutopolis for a mittimus to IDOC, sentenced to 5 years. Jerrod was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56 year old Brenton D. Bliss of Altamont for domestic battery. Brenton was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39 year old Samuel J. Woodrow of Crawfordsville, IL for an Effingham County FTA warrant for retail theft. Samuel was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 56 year old Timothy L. Schultz of Effingham for possession of <5g of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Timothy was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 27 year old Jessica M. Hite of Strasburg for an Edgar County FTA warrant for invading privacy – unlawful tracking device. Jessica was given an NTA and was released.
- Illinois State Police arrested 36 year old Carlos Ramirez-Guadarrama of Effingham for DUI alcohol, speeding, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to dim headlights, and failure to wear seatbelt. Carlos was given an NTA and was released.
August 30, 2026
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64 year old Richey L. Harris of Effingham for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle, defective brakes, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident. Richey was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 56 year old Timothy L. Schultz of Effingham for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and resisting/obstructing a police officer. Timothy was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 41 year old Rhiannon M. Thompson of Effingham for retail theft <$300 and criminal trespass to real property. Rhiannon was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49 year old Peter J. Burgess of Vicksburg, MI for driving on a revoked license, improper left turn/oncoming traffic, and a St. Joseph, MI FTA warrant for possession of meth. Peter was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 51 year old George R. Adkins of Beaver dam, KY for DUI alcohol, speeding, resisting/obstructing a police officer, and disobeying a police officer. George was given an NTA and was released.
- Illinois State Police arrested 25 year old Jorge E. Macias of Altamont for DUI alcohol and improper lane usage. Jorge was given an NTA and was released.

- Effingham City Police arrested 20 year old Keyona R. Greene of Effingham for an Effingham County probation violation warrant, criminal damage to property, attempted aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting/obstructing a police officer, and illegal consumption of alcohol by minor. Keyona was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 25 year old Logan D. Wilson of Effingham for DUI drugs and driver not wearing seatbelt. Logan was given an NTA and was released.
- Illinois State Police arrested 26 year old Ibson E. Martinez-Noguera of Chicago for driving while license suspended and speeding.
- Illinois State Police arrested 29 year old Zachary J. Bierman of Teutopolis for DUI alcohol, transportation or possession of open alcohol by driver, following too closely, and driving without registration light. Zachary was given an NTA and was released.
