Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- Best Buy is recalling thousands of gas ranges for loose knobs that pose a potential fire hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall after Best Buy said the affected gas ranges can be turned on unintentionally by people or pets.
The company received one report of a knob being activated by accidental contact, but no injuries have been reported. Over 38-hundred Insignia Front Control Gas Ranges sold in the U.S. and Canada are included. The recalled appliances were available at Best Buy stores nationally and online from November 2020 through March 2026.
