Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham County Officials will hold a Press Briefing on June 24, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. to update the public on the Severe Weather/Tornado situation and recovery efforts in Effingham County. The Press Briefing will cover the following topics:
- Update the status of the Emergency Declaration in Effingham County
- Provide a status update on the details of the Tornado damage and restoration/recovery efforts.
- Provide details on the planned Multi-Agency Resource Center for Effingham County citizens affected by the Tornado/Severe Weather.
The media and public are invited to attend the briefing in the Benson Wood conference room located on the first floor of the Effingham County Building; 101 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL 62401.
