Patricia Lou “Pat” Stockman, 88, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at her home.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School or St. Anthony Schools.
Pat was born to John and Anna (Blenz) Moser on April 20, 1938. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Paul Stockman on September 13, 1958, and he preceded in her in death on November 26, 2005.
Pat worked at JC Penney’s for over 25 years. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids as well as her dog. She enjoyed making red velvet cakes, angel food cakes, and sugar cookies. Her favorite sugar cookie recipe was her mom’s, which has been handed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved giving her baked treats to family and friends. She would send cake pops to the children at Sacred Heart School and loved receiving the thank-you “pen pal” notes from the students.
Pat is survived by her children, Beth (Chip) Andes, Brian Stockman, Joni (Jay) Imus, and Mike Stockman; grandchildren, Michael (Tammy) Andes, Kirsten (Eric) Mattson, Kyle Imus, Kaci Imus, Katie Stockman, Nicki (David) Boehm, and Megan Stockman; great-grandchildren, Emily, Thomas, and Josie Mattson, Elena and Isobel Andes, and Zoe, Mya, and Noah Boehm; and sister, Gloria Kater.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Stockman; siblings, Helen Falk, Bob Moser, Ruth McCollum, John Moser, and Marilyn Tomlinson; and her beloved dog, Magic.
