
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Board met at 4pm on Monday and approves numerous items recommended by various County committees.
The Effingham County Board has authorized the distribution of $18,000 in opioid settlement funds to the Health Department’s Family Resource Center, aiming to bolster local support services. Members also declared support for Local Chamber of Commerce Day.
Voters will be asked to weigh in on a federal scholarship tax credit through an upcoming advisory referendum. Infrastructure was addressed with approved aid for a West Township bridge and a maintenance agreement with the Village of Teutopolis for Green Street. Seasonal events will continue, with the historic courtyard hosting Light Up the Lawn and receiving emergency roof repairs totaling $13,100.
The Board also:

- Approved Stipend of up to $1,000.00 Monthly for Premium of County Employees Enrolled in County Group Health Coverage Programs along with Stipend of $1,700.00 to Health Savings Accounts of Enrolled Employees
- Approved Christmas Luncheon along with $25.00 Gift Certificates for County Employees
- Approved Proposed FY26 Budget for Layover
- Approved Twelve (12) Month Ambulance Provider Contract Extension
