Joyce M. Finfrock 87 years old of Effingham, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully, on Wednesday evening October 6, 2025, at the Evergreen Nursing Home Effingham after a short lingering illness.
A visitation will begin on Thursday evening October 16, 2025, for family and friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Kull Funeral Home, Altamont, Illinois.
Family and Christian burial rites will be performed at a later date.
Joyce was born in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of John Truman and Mildred Pauline Aderman-Garner on February 16.1938. She graduated from Altamont Community High School. She married Ronald Dean Finfrock, and he preceded her in death . To this union was born a son Curtis Dean Finfrock on June 1, 1957, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2018, and a daughter Janice Kayrene Finfrock-Williams on June 30, 1958, and she preceded her in death on November 12, 1978.
Mrs. Finfrock was last employed as the Effingham County Board Secretary however before she was Secretary to the Effingham County Treasurer and community active by being a member of the Republican Central Committee and being active with her grandson and filled her time with yard work and her flower gardens.
Joyce is survived by her family, Grandson: Justin Dean and significant other Jessica Wolfert Finfrock and their two children: Tyler Dean Finfrock and Kamryn Michael Wolfert, Brother: Kenneth Sherwood, 3-Sisters: Vera (Jean) Price, Carolyn Dahmm, Betty Kay Bobb, Special Friends Tim O’Donnell, Judy Horn, Rebecca “Becky” Janis, Janice M. Percival, Alma Croft, Significant Other Ron Morris
Joyce was preceded in death by her: Husband, Son, Daughter, 2-Brothers: Truman (Sonny) G. Garner, Ronald Sherwood, 2 Sisters Catherine Roll, Delores Aldridge
