Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- A federal appeals court is blocking the Trump administration from using a wartime law to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members. The court voted two-to-one to block President Trump’s deportations under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
The administration has used the act by claiming the Tren de Aragua gang are invading the U.S. Earlier this year, the State Department designated the Venezuelan gang as a foreign terrorist organization.
