Two Vehicle Accident With Injury In Liberty Township

Liberty Township, IL-(Effingham Radio)- One driver was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash northwest of Effingham on Sunday.

The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 3:55pm at Illinois Route 33 and 225th Street in Liberty Township. 36-year-old Craig Anderson of Beecher City was behind the wheel of a pickup truck, yielding for a stopped school bus, when his vehicle was rear-ended by a car driven by 73-year-old Gerald Potter of Milton, Florida. Potter was injured and transported by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
