Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- In a recent session, the Teutopolis Board of Education welcomed visitors from Saint Francis Parish Council of Teutopolis. Dr. Chuck Runde, representing the Parish as property owner and lessor of Teutopolis Grade School, offered insights on facility planning and future financing.
The Board approved routine financial matters and consent agenda items, including hazardous bus route resolutions and updated family engagement policies. Construction on the THS Cafeteria and lobby remains on schedule for Labor Day, while security upgrades at multiple schools near completion. The Board also examined preliminary plans for a TJHS expansion, which would accommodate sixth-grade students by 2026.
Planning for future improvements at TGS is ongoing, focusing on accessibility and instructional space modernization. Staff changes and expanded roles were approved, responding to changing enrollment and activity needs.
