Terry D. Malone, age 61 of Sumner, passed away on July 28, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. Terry was born on August 31, 1963 in Olney, Illinois, the Son of Robert Lee and Elizabeth (Peyton) Malone Sr.
Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Olney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meyer Funeral Homes to help with expences.
Terry worked for Wabash Asphalt Company for the last 10 years and had driven a semi for several years prior. Terry didn’t have children of his own, but he loved children. He doted on his nieces and nephews. Terry supported the children’s youth programs and coached youth baseball. Racing has been his passion since he was a kid. He built and drove race cars and raced locally at the Lawrence County Racetrack in Sumner, Illinois and several other places.
Terry is survived by his sister Debra Malone Hundley of Claremont, Illinois, special friends Misty Leist and Jackie Parker, several Nieces and Nephews and especially his pet and companion Woody whom traveled with him constantly.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Lee Malone Jr., sisters Jeanne Marie Rodgers, Cheryl Lynn Malone and aunt Wanda Faye Sisney
