Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Karen Luchtefeld stopped by our station to pick up our yearly donation to Effingham County FISH with funds raised from the Effingham County Fair through our prize wheel. All together, we were able to raise $761 for FISH for school supplies.
Karen mentioned that they are able to help 170 kids with their school supplies, and it takes about $70 per child for their supplies. They help fill Unit 40’s school supply list with new items where possible.
Effingham County FISH helps kids from Pre-K through 8th Grade with school supplies each year. We at Cromwell Media help each year by donating the proceeds from the County Fair to FISH.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year another success for our school kids to start the year with the supplies they need.
