Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A salmonella outbreak is being linked to frozen sprouted beans that have been recalled.
According to the CDC, Massachusetts has seen two cases in connection with this outbreak while Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington have all recorded single cases. Chetak LLC Group issued a recall for packages of Deep brand frozen Sprouted Mat and Sprouted Moong, saying “no illness have been reported,” but products were recalled over potential salmonella contamination that “was noted after routine testing by FDA.”
Consumers with any of the recalled product are asked to return it for a full refund.
