Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Florida Dried Apricots are being recalled. Health officials issued an urgent recall for the dried apricots sold by Turkana Food Inc. in nearly 20 states due to potentially deadly levels of undeclared sulfites.
Consumers are advised to stop eating these apricots immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a refund. The apricots have been distributed in states including Florida, New York, Texas, Illinois, and California, however, no illnesses have been reported at this time.
