Tony Wayne Haney, age 59, of Newton, Illinois, and formerly of Cumberland County, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois.
Tony was born on January 14, 1966, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Tony and Mary E. (Painter) Haney. He retired from Evapco after many years of service.
Tony enjoyed fishing and collecting old cars and trucks.
Tony is survived by his Children Amy (Kyle) Hille of Sigel, Illinois; Tony (Alexandria) Haney of Mattoon, Illinois; and Nikita Burry (Jaekob Durbin) of Ramsey, Illinois
Grandchildren Hunter Hille, Westin Hille, Zain Hille, Elise Haney, Annalida Durbin, Renesmee Durbin, Zariah Burry, Briar Durbin, and Brynlee Durbin, Stepfather Gerald Roome
Siblings Jim Haney, Roy (Vola) Haney, Yvonne (Larry) Pierce and Toney Haney (Linda Rounsaville)
Tony was preceded in death by his father Tony Haney, mother Mary Roome, maternal grandparents Purely and Bertha Painter, paternal grandparents Elijah and Alice Haney, sister Linda Haney and brothers Dale Mason and Jack H. Haney.
