On Tuesday 8/15/2023 at 14:12 hours, Firefighters were dispatched to a reported multi vehicle accident, Interstate 70 westbound at the 102 mile marker. This is within the ongoing construction zone.
Upon arrival C600 reported 2 semi tractor trailers and 2 passenger vehicles involved, all vehicles pulled off the traveling lane onto a pull off area with no lane blockage. Rural Med EMS evaluated all occupants with 1 seeking treatment and the others signing medical refusals.
ISP Troop 9 is investigating the cause of the accident. Firefighters cleared the scene at 14:55 hours.
