Law enforcement agencies that are members of the Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force are eligible to receive grants from the State Police Revocation Enforcement Fund. Funding will help agencies conduct firearms enforcement details and ensure firearms are turned over to a person with an eligible FOID card or to law enforcement.
Funding for the enforcement grants comes from the State Police Revocation Enforcement Fund and were made possible through Public Act 102-0237. The General Assembly appropriated $1 million each for Fiscal Year 23 and Fiscal Year 24 grants. Total amounts used by 30 law enforcement grantees during the first round of grants in Fiscal Year 2023 is being finalized and will be available in the near future.
