Beecher City, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Two people were injured in an accident that occurred in Beecher City on Tuesday, June 27th at 6:39pm.
According to a report from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on Poplar Street, 1/4 mile west of Spring Street.
The report states that a vehicle driven by 30 year old, Stacey N Osborne, of Beecher City and a vehicle driven by 37 year old, Brittany K Huddleston, of Neoga were both traveling westbound on Poplar Street.
Huddleston began to slow her vehicle to turn and Osborne struck the rear of Huddleston’s vehicle.
Both Huddleston and Osborne were taken to HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital by Rural Med EMS for treatment of non-incapacitation injuries.
Osborne was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
