Shelbyville, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Shelby County Road and Bridge Committee is set to meet on Friday, May 26th at 6:00pm.

- Vote to Enter into Closed Session:

- Discuss and vote to recommend to the full board an additional sign-on bonus of $15,000 for the position of County Engineer to be added to the original sign-on bonus of $15,000 created on May 11, 2023 at the Shelby County Board Meeting. This would make the total amount of the sign-on bonus $30,000 for the position of County Engineer.
- Discuss and vote on RESOLUTION to ask the Shelby County Board to approve ARPA funds in the amount of $15,000 to cover the cost of the ADDITIONAL sign-on bonus for the County Engineer position (this $15,000 will be added to the original $15,000 for a total of $30,000).
- Discuss and vote on raising the minimum starting pay of laborers, who possess a CDL B license, to $20 per hour. The starting pay of laborers who possess a CDL A license drivers would be $21 an hour. Those laborers who currently have at least two (2) years of experience would receive an additional $1.00 per hour increase. These measures would take effect immediately, starting Tuesday, May 30th.
