Vandalia, IL-(Vandalia Radio)- An Altamont man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday in Fayette County.
The accident occurred on Sunday at 5:45 pm at the 1600 block of 2100 street in Wheatland Township. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office report say that a motorcycle operated by 32 year old Christopher J. Spour of Altamont was traveling southbound negotiating an “S” curve. Reports say the motorcycle continued through the second part of the curve and Spour braked and began skidding causing control loss. Spour then skidded off the roadway and down an embankment on the left side of the roadway. The report says the motorcycle continued into the ditch and laid over on its side. Both the operator and a 31 year old female passenger were ejected from the unit.
Both were transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
