Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A winter storm system is possible around the middle of next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, a storm system is expected to move into Illinois next week.
Current timing is showing Tuesday evening and into Wednesday for the expected arrival.
Illinois is positioned on the cold side of the system, meaning that any precipitation received will most likely be wintry precipitation.
However, according to the National Weather Service, Central Illinois will either see a significant snowfall or nothing.
Experts at the National Weather Service are still working on this forecast since we have a few days until weather is expected.
We will continue to keep our listeners up-to-date on the storm system as the forecast develops.
