Fayette County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12:
WHAT:
- Personal Injury Traffic Crash
WHERE:
- 2800 North at 1500 East, Fayette County
WHEN:
- March 22, 2022 at approximately 5:15 p.m.
VEHICLE:
- Unit 1– 2006 Gray Ford Truck
DRIVER:
- Unit 1- James Haas, 47-year-old male from Ramsey, IL – Transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
PASSENGER:
- Unit 1- Amanda Haas, 39-year-old female from Ramsey, IL – Transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
PRELIMINARY:
- A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on 2800 North near the intersection of 1500 East attempting a pass another vehicle. Unit 1 lost control and went off of the roadway to the left and overturned.
CHARGES:
- Unit 1 driver was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, Driver Required to Wear a Seatbelt, and Possession of Open Alcohol by Driver.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
