Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- New research shows even small increases in air pollution are linked to an elevated risk of schizophrenia and depression.
A study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry suggests there’s growing evidence that exposure to polluted air may adversely affect the brain. Scientists reached that conclusion after examining data involving 13-thousand London residents.
Previous studies have concluded that more than 30-thousand Americans may die every year because of exposure to air pollution.
