Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- IDOT Program Development Engineer Greg Jamerson recently sat down with Derek Warren, News Department Lead for Cromwell Media to discuss upcoming projects in and around Effingham.
The interview started with questions about the Fayette Avenue expansion that got green lit recently, and ranged from resurfaces to interstate work on I-70.
Question 1: The big question on everyone’s minds in Effingham: When will the Fayette Avenue expansion happen, and what will the work entail?
Question 2: What other local construction projects do you have coming up soon that our listeners should be aware of?
Greg then went into detail about an interstate project that he said has been needing to be done for some time now.
Question 4: Any other projects coming up that local listeners should be aware of or avoid?
There are lots of construction projects on the agenda for IDOT in Effingham and the surrounding areas. The Fayette project likely won’t happen until next year in the summer, but the ball has started moving to get the necessary space to expand. This construction season is looking to be a busy one, regardless. Please be mindful of construction signs and personnel during this busy time of year.
Thank you to Greg Jamerson from IDOT District 7 Headquarters in Effingham for taking the time to discuss local construction projects with us. We will have a follow up interview with him in a couple months to ask about the progress, and to alert the public of any changes or detours.
