Moccasin Township, IL -(Effingham Radio)-The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by the Effingham Police Department:
WHAT:
- Single vehicle accident with injury
WHERE:
- 300th Street at 1500th Avenue – Moccasin Township
WHEN:
- 8-13-20 at 10:00am
VEHICLE:
- UNIT 1 – Gold 2011 Cheverolet Utility
DRIVER:
- UNIT 1 – Ruth M. Schnake, 89, of Effingham
PRELIMINARY:
- Unit 1 was travelling southbound on 300th street when the driver of unit 1 left the roadway to the right. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line, and struck the ditch on the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned, coming to a rest on its side.
CHARGES:
- UNIT 1 – No valid Driver’s License, driving in wrong lane
TRANSPORTS:
- Raymond G. Schnake, 89, was taken to St. John’s Hispital with incapacitating injuries.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
