Teutopolis Joining the Apollo Conference

Teutopolis will be joining the Apollo Conference for the 2020-2021 school year.  Teutopolis had been independent since leaving the National Trail Conference at the end of 2012 school year.  Teutopolis will participate in all sports they host.  They will not play football and at this time it is just for this school year.  Teutopolis will join current members of the conference that include Charleston, Effingham, Lincoln, Mahomet-Seymour, Mattoon, Mt. Zion, and Taylorville.  The move becomes effective immediately and eases scheduling difficulty for the conference due to Covid 19.  Taylorville Principal and President of the Apollo Conference, wrote the Teutopolis administration to let them know their application was accepted and said “We look forward to the competition and sportsmanship that Teutopolis will bring to the conference.”
