Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Schools across Illinois can reopen this summer, but in-person classes are a while off.
The Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health yesterday released new guidelines for summer school. Schools across the state can open their doors for driver’s ed, summer camps, coronavirus testing, school registration, and summer meal programs. The state is requiring schools to clean and follow coronavirus safety protocols. Local school districts, however, will have the final say in how their buildings will be used and who can do what.
