
Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- A veteran horror writer and director is dead.
John Lafia, who co-wrote “Child’s Play” and it’s sequel, and directed “Child’s Play 2,” died Wednesday in Los Angeles. He was 63. He collaborated with Tom Holland and Don Mancini on the screenplay, and is credited with naming the antagonist “Chucky.”
The original film made more than 44-million dollars and received a Saturn award for best horror film and a nomination for best writing.
