
Effingham,IL-(Effingham Radio)- Heartland Human Services today announced it has earned Behavioral Health Care Certification from The Joint Commission.
The certification demonstrates Heartland Human Service’s commitment to providing the highest quality of behavioral health care services through a rigorous process of external validation by recognized experts in the field.
Heartland Human Services underwent a rigorous onsite survey February 13-15.
During the review, a Joint Commission expert surveyor evaluated compliance with a set of standards that focus on the integration and coordination of person-centered health care in order to improve the quality of life for individuals with mental illness or other behavioral health conditions.
“We are delighted to renew our Behavioral Health Care Certification with The Joint premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation,” added Nikki Quandt, Executive Director. “By achieving this certification, we have demonstrated our commitment to quality and safety consistent with The Joint Commission’s national, consensus-based standards of care. It is a mark of distinction that shows we are operating within an established framework to better meet the needs of the people we serve.”
